Hello 2018

This last year was one of the craziest rides for me.  Getting my daughter into a nice school for Kindergarten.  Working part time, then full time, to just being back where I started. However, the biggest challenge was watching the phases of my grandmother's progressive brain disease.  At the beginning of 2017 she was still in her home and she passed away towards the end.  I have worked as a C.N.A. in nursing homes and spent lots of time with elderly in memory care.  I have never witnessed anything as fast as what my grandmother went through, and am still very curious to discover the results of an autopsy. I was very close to my grandmother and I've never felt such deep loss until this past year.  It's a feeling you know will come and go but never leave completely. It's happiness and greif, love and pain.  

I learned how to make bath bombs in 2017 and I don't intend to stop. They are very nice gifts and I love using them too. I took more baths this past year, I think baths are great for relaxing and reflecting.  

The year ahead I am going to try to better my mind and body.

However what really matters in this post are my 2018 Art Resolutions!

1. Use color! --I am going to try to incorporate more color in all of my drawings instead of avoiding it.

2. Sculpt more!

3. Do portraits again

Deviant Artist Questionnaire

  1. How long have you been on DeviantArt? 4 years, I was a fan of the site for longer but a little nervous to put my own work out there. 

  2. What does your username mean? It means little loved one, I'm a short small person and have a great loving support group of family and friends on and off DA 

  3. Describe yourself in three words. Caring, Creative and Timid 

  4. Are you left or right handed? Right Handed 

  5. What was your first deviation?    I'm not entirely sure probably something that has since been tucked away in my scraps :p

  6. What is your favourite type of art to create? Traditional pencil on paper, that is how I started in art class. I was terrified of color for years, but now I am having lots of fun with it.  

  7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be? Some sort of sculpting or jewelry making, I love admiring others physical 3 dimensional art.

  8. What was your first favourite? An awesome silhouette of a Sin City Theme, I was reading the graphic novel at the time:  Sin City by clovisspartan

  9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most? Colorful art or just breathtaking creations that I am in awe of others talent in creating. 

  10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist? Difficult to answer but I always love julesrizz's work 

  11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be? Latestarter63 I would love to watch him draw, I am always in awe of his portraits and curious about his techniques. 

  12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life? Everyone I watch pleasantly surprises me with every new deviation they upload. 

  13. What are your preferred tools to create art? Pencils, charcoal, erasers, rulers, sharpies, paint brushes the list is almost unending as I try new tools all the time. 

  14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art? Outside while listening to music or if it's cold on my drawing desk but music must always be on. 

  15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory? Getting my first favorite on one of my submissions and just thinking wow someone out there likes my drawing and it meant so much to me and helped me want to continue to grow and evolve as an artist to reach more deviants and be a part of this wonderful community.

Open for Commissions

Finished my huge first real project. It was a total success and I'm so happy about it and will upload it soon. Alice in Wonderland inspired wedding program cover for my good friends. Cheshire

Having Fun With Life

    I am going to be very busy with a huge comission soonCrank Dat -Supaman Dance-  I still will try to update on here as regularly as possible.
